The images are breathtaking.
Fred Fugen and Vincent Cotte of Soul Flyers, famous for their aerial exploits, managed to fly above the pyramids of Giza in Egypt, and to graze these ancient monuments culminating at nearly 140 m high, in wingsuit.
They achieved this feat wearing their wingsuit, a kind of winged suit.
A magical moment, captured by their GoPro.
It took them eight jumps to make the video for this adventure.
"It's super impressive," responded Fred Fugen.
“We are extremely focused throughout the approach and as we pass, it's an explosion of joy.
What is really impressive is that we feel very small.
We realize the size of this construction, we can distinguish the size of each block.
We are midges!
It was awesome!

This flight as close as possible to the monuments was made possible thanks to a technique developed by Fred Fugen and Vince Reffet, called “the resource”.
“It allows you to go back up.
In a wingsuit, since you don't have an engine, you experience gravity, you're going down all the time.
The resource makes it possible to pass very close to the ground, to ascend and to open the parachute in complete safety, ”explains Fugen.
Fred Fugen's sidekick Vince Reffet died at the age of 36 just a year ago in an accident during training.
