2021-12-17T18:11:42.132Z

The Prime Minister and the Ministers have determined: Occupancy will be restricted in stores in the complexes and increased enforcement will take place. • Depending on the disease situation, the possibility of a green label in stores larger than 100 square meters will be examined.

An alternative solution has been reached to the issue of malls:

Prime Minister Naftali Bennett and the relevant ministers held a consultation today (Friday), at the end of which it was decided to apply a softened outline in the commercial complexes. Formulation of guidelines and approval of the Corona Cabinet.

Outline of the outline:

  • In malls and closed commercial areas, a tight purple mark will be applied immediately, according to an occupancy ratio of 1:15.

  • Increased enforcement will be carried out regarding the wearing of masks, through the addition of corona trustees and inspectors.

  • The hours of operation in the malls will be extended in order to profit from the overcrowding in the trade.

  • Immunization stations will be established in 50 main centers in the malls (according to the capabilities of the Ministry of Health) and special benefits will be provided to those who are vaccinated in the mall, while creating an atmosphere that encourages immunization.

  • Depending on the morbidity rates, the possibility of applying a green label to any commercial house with an area larger than 100 square meters will be examined in the coming days.

As stated, there will be a discussion in the government on the issue on Sunday, and after the drafting of the regulations is completed, they will be brought to a telephone poll by the Corona Cabinet.

Entry into force will be immediate.

The ministers who took part in the consultation are Health Minister Nitzan Horowitz, Foreign Minister Yair Lapid, Economy Minister Orna Barbibai and Deputy Prime Minister Avir Kara.

The above decisions were made after the zigzag in the outline of the malls and Bennett's insistence on a green mark in the complexes, by presenting bracelets that would allow free entry for the vaccinated and restrict the non-vaccinated.
