In Mozambique, alleged ISIS-linked jihadists beheaded an evangelical pastor in the district of Macomia, in the northern province of Cabo Delgado, as reported by the Carta de Mocambique newspaper.
According to what was learned from military sources cited in the press, the wife of the victim, a resident of the village of Nova Zambézia, presented on Wednesday at the district police headquarters with a bag that contained her husband's head.
The woman said the killers stopped the pastor in a field, beheaded him and handed the widow's head over and ordered her to inform the authorities.
This is the latest in a series of jihadist attacks that have hit the districts of Cabo Delgado since October 2017.
The Islamists recently moved to the province of Niassa after the joint offensive of the Mozambican, Rwandan and Southern African Development Community (Sadc) forces.
According to local sources, terrorists have often beheaded their victims.
