(ANSA) - ROME, DECEMBER 18 - "The Bank of Italy has already contacted the President of the Parliamentary Commission of Inquiry into the Banking and Financial System, Carl Ruocco, to establish the times and methods for a hearing on the role of the Institute in the buying and selling of diamonds ".

The hearing was requested on Thursday by the president CarlaRuocco following the television broadcast Report, in which a Bank of Italy official had launched heavy accusations at the bank's work, also recording some responses received from the institute's top management on the subject.
