Holland is preparing for a new lockdown

According to local media reports, the National Outbreak Management Team has recommended "strict measures" to the government to curb the spread of the Omicron variant, with the closure of restaurants, bars, cinemas, theaters and non-essential shops.
The announcement is expected during a press conference by Prime Minister Mark Rutte and the Minister of Health, Hugo de Jonge, tonight at 7pm.
Already at the beginning of the week, the government had extended the restrictions in force since last week until January 14. November 28, including closure of all non-essential services between 5pm and 5am.
