(ANSA) - ROME, DEC 22 - Francesco Lo Voi, 64 years old, at the helm of the Palermo prosecutor's office since 2014, is the new prosecutor of Rome.
He was nominated by a large majority (with 19 votes in favor) by the plenum of the CSM He takes the place of Michele Prestipino, chosen by the CSM in March 2020 and whose appointment was canceled by the administrative justice, which accepted the appeals of LoVoi and the Pg of Florence Marcello Viola, today a defeated minority candidate.
Today's vote closes the affair opened in May 2019 with the interception of the Champagnia hotel which revealed - as the CSM itself underlines - "interference by tramagistrati and politicians" on the appointment of the Rome prosecutor (ANSA).
