Kiel: 8,000 euros found in a jacket

In the summer, a shop employee found 8,000 euros in a donated jacket. Numerous supposed owners reported - now the money is going to the Red Cross; the finder also benefits.

After finding 8,000 euros in a second-hand store in Kiel in June, the rightful owner is still unknown.

The money was discovered by a volunteer in donated clothing.

It is now the property of the Red Cross because it was found there in the business premises, said a city spokesman.

Lost and found received numerous calls

You got a lot of calls about the jacket.

However, none of the callers could prove that he or she is the owner of the cash.

The finder had given the money to a police station.

According to the city, she should receive a finder's fee.
