In
Tick, Tick ... Boom!
, musical available since November 19 on Netflix, Andrew Garfield (who we also know to have played Spider-Man) slips into the skin of a young composer who, at the approach of his thirties, tries to make of his dream come true: that the show he has been writing for eight years be adapted for Broadway.
Between grandiose hopes and cruel disappointments, typical of the life of an artist, the composer works while waiting in a small restaurant to pay the rent of his dilapidated apartment, and his numerous bills.

A true story
Tick Tick Boom
is inspired by the life of Jonathan Larson, an American songwriter who won three Tony Awards
(the equivalent of the Oscars for live performance, in the United States, Editor's note)
and a Pulitzer Prize for his musical.

, in 1996. The work that became famous on Broadway tells the story of a group of young artists trying to break into New York City, when the threat of AIDS began to loom. But Jonathan Larson will not know this success, victim of an aortic aneurysm at only 35 years old, the day before the first performance in 1996. The film therefore takes the form of a posthumous tribute directed by Lin-Manuel Miranda, known for his

and for working with Disney several times.
With the film, Andrew Garfield proves that he knows, in addition to weaving webs, singing and dancing.
He is also accompanied by Vanessa Hudgens, revealed by the films
