Apple's new emoji featuring a pregnant man and a-binary man drives surfers crazy, creating opinions here and there • Is this a troll or a welcome change? You decide

A new update from Apple has revealed two new and controversial emojis - a pregnant man and a non-binary pregnant woman.

The company's post states that "the innovations we have made represent transgender men and non-binary men or women with short hair, although the use of the new emoji is not limited to these groups."

The two new emojis also come in five different skin tones as in the other emojis.

In recent years we have witnessed more and more transgender men getting pregnant and having children.

These are, of course, men who were born in the "female" biological sex and have undergone gender adjustment.

Also, in recent years there are people who do not identify with one gender, and are part of the non-binary population.

Apple wants all users to be represented in the emojis it offers, which is indeed welcome.

However, the harsh reactions were not long in coming.

"How can one differentiate between a fat man and a pregnant man?", The response read.

"Pregnant man, how stupid can you be? Shame on you!", Wrote another surfer.

"A pregnant man is a code for the mentally ill," another surfer wrote, adding that "biology is a science, only one gender can get pregnant and give birth," and "trans women will never be women, no matter how many surgeries and hormones are taken."

"Men can not get pregnant. There is no such thing as a pregnant man who is not a female. What a fucking country we live in when the obvious is no longer obvious," said another surfer, "and there is nothing like entering into people's illusions."

Another surfer summed it up: "As a friendly reminder to anyone it hurts - just do not use these emojis. Take a moment to think and ask yourself why you are so opposed to it."
