Asado, when prepared properly, is one of the most delicious things there is.

Neta Levya presents you with a recipe for asado that is slowly cooked in the oven, with garlic, maple and white wine, which make each bite a little sweeter and, most importantly, full of flavors.

The combination of the tender meat and the sauce is worth every minute and if you serve the dish at the upcoming Friday dinner, you will immediately see that the reactions are accordingly.

  • 2 Season the asado pieces with salt and pepper well on all sides.

  • 3 In a heavy saucepan that goes into the oven heat the olive oil.

  • 4 Burn the asado chunks until browned on both sides.

  • 5 Add the onion and garlic cloves, stir and fry for another two minutes.

  • 6 Add the wine, thyme and maple branches and mix.

Reduce in a bubble over a low flame for 5-7 minutes.

  • 7 Add water until the pieces are covered, bring to a boil and cover (if the lid is not sufficiently sealed, cover with foil and cover the lid. This ensures complete sealing).

  • 8 Transfer the pot to the oven for at least two and a half to three hours, until the meat is completely tender.
