Immediate surcharge for children announced – what kind of money can families expect in the future?

According to a dpa report, Anne Spiegel promised the immediate surcharge that was also announced, which should be paid to families before basic child security is granted, for the “next months”.
She was “in very good talks” with Federal Labor Minister Hubertus Heil (SPD) on the exact design.

How high should the immediate surcharge for children be?
At the time, nothing was known
about the amount of the
planned immediate surcharge for children .
"We will still determine the exact amount,"
Spiegel
explained in the interview with the RND from the beginning of December, which was quoted by dpa.
When asked whether the surcharge should be 10 to 25 euros per child and month, she replied: "It's going in that direction." The immediate surcharge is staggered according to age, Spiegel said at the time.
According to them, 2.7 million children in Germany would benefit from it.
