(ANSA) - ROME, 02 FEB - "The United States will send troops to Romania, Poland and Germany in the next few days, they are not permanent transfers and they will not fight in Ukraine. They will be there to defend our NATO allies".
This was announced by Pentagon spokesman John Kirby confirming some media previews.
About 2,000 soldiers will be sent to Poland and Germany, while another 1,000 who are part of a squadron currently in Germany will be repositioned in Romania on "express request of the Bucharest government".
