About fifteen activists mobilized against the construction site of the future aquatic center of Aubervilliers, built as part of the 2024 Olympics, tried to block the work in the early morning.
“We can't take this delirious urbanization any longer.
And each time it eats up biodiversity”, laments Jeff, wearing a construction helmet crossed out with “No concrete”.
Around these activists, some explicit banners were deployed: "Grand Paris assassin, Olympics, blood on the hands".
Opponents of the site have been trying for almost a year to preserve this haven of nature nestled in the middle of a very dense urban fabric.
"While everything tells us that we are going to have a climate catastrophe and that we must stop doing that, they continue for an Olympic swimming pool which makes no sense", deciphers one of these refractory to the project, who wants to be called Jean.
“There, the idea is to alert and send a message that is clear is that we will not let them go.
They will always find people on their way to stop this disaster,” explains Aline, a mother.
