(ANSA) - ROME, FEBRUARY 10 - Two of the largest car manufacturers in the world, Ford and Toyota, have announced the temporary closure of their factories in Canada due to protests by no-vax truckers who are blocking the arrival of components.
The Stellantis group, which controls FiatChrysler, also announced production delays at its Ontario factory due to a shortage of parts.
The truck drivers have been blocking the Ambassador Bridge for days, the most important border crossing between the USA and Canada, where about a quarter of trade between the two countries passes.
Trade paralysis is estimated to cost $ 300 million per day.
