According to 'ConfidenceMan', by New York Times reporter Maggie Haberman, the former president used to throw important papers in one of the cabinets of the residence, so much so that the staff always found it "clogged with crumpled paper".
The revelation comes on days when the National American Archives recovered 15 boxes of documents in Mar-a-Lago, Trump's Florida residence, which should have been handed over to authorities once his order was concluded.
Among the papers would also be the famous letters that the former president had received from North Korean leader KimJong-un and the note that his predecessor Barack Obama left him on the desk of the Oval Office in 2017. Trump is also suspected of tearing up official documents violating federal regulations. .
