(ANSA) - FLORENCE, 14 FEB - There is and will remain in the proceedings of the bankruptcy trial with the parents of former Prime Minister Matteo Renzi, Tiziano and Laura Bovoli, accused in Florence, a letter attributed to Tiziano Renzi himself and addressed to his son Matteo.
The court, with an order, rejected an objection of the defense of Tiziano Renzi according to which the document was seized in violation of the rules on correspondence and on the guarantees of parliamentarians.
But for the court in this circumstance the rules for the seizure of correspondence would not apply.
The text was extracted from a computer by Tiziano Renzi seized by the financial police in October 2019. The text, typed on file, dates back to March 2017.
"In recent years I have had the clear perception, the certainty, of being considered an obstacle and in any case a nuisance. As you know, the only interviews were seasoned with reproaches", reads the text which seems to contain accusations against his son Matteo.
"Regarding the high hope that I will retire - we read again - I must strongly affirm that the good Lord is sending me to retire, don't you".
"This story - Tiziano Renzi would still say, considered the author of the letter in the request with which the same defense asked not to accept it as proof of the trial - has deprived me of the ability to relate. All those who have had relations with me have only been attentive for this fact. I am like King Midas of m .., I fertilize everyone, they are questioning everyone ".
"Now you have immunity, there is no longer the risk that they will reach you through me. I hope that a new season of struggle for the values that have animated our lives begins", we always read in the same letter where, moreover, the writer points the finger on the people closest to his son in his top political career, citing Carrai, Bianchi, Bonifazi and Boschi.
Person that "have profited without restraint from the position of acolytes and I was the one who passed for a thief".
