American actresses and comedians Regina Hall, Amy Schumer and Wanda Sykes will host this year's Oscars.
The three women were featured Tuesday on ABC, which will be broadcasting the awards ceremony, as the hosts of the March 27 ceremony.
This means that the Oscars will have consistent moderation for the first time since 2018.
It's also the first time since 1987 that there have been three hosts - and the first time ever that the role has been filled by three women.
"I'm not sure who thought it was a good idea, but I'm going to be hosting the Oscars with my friends Wanda Sykes and Regina Hall," Amy Schumer said in a video aired on ABC.
"I'd better watch some movies."
The last Oscar host was comedian and TV presenter Jimmy Kimmel in 2018.
After that, the Oscar organizers decided not to have a moderator for the ceremony.
Rather, numerous celebrities appeared to announce individual program items.
The new format was initially well received and was also copied at other galas, but then came under more and more criticism because a clear line and often humor were missing.
The Oscars have recently lost dramatically in television viewers.
Only around ten million people watched the ceremony last year, less than half of the TV viewers of 2020.
Critics attribute the falling ratings, among other things, to the fact that films that have attracted many viewers to the cinemas have not been well received by the members of the Oscar Academy in recent years.
In addition, the awards themselves were attested to have a lack of entertainment value.
