Inventing Anna: This is how the second season of the Netflix series stands

Series fans want to know after the season 1 finale of "Inventing Anna": Is there also a second season planned?
Stories about scammers and impostors are currently very popular on Netflix.
At the beginning of February, the documentary “The Tinder Swindler”* conquered the streaming charts.
A little later, the series “Inventing Anna” started on Netflix*, which tells a very similar story and fascinates viewers alike.
However, the first season still leaves some questions unanswered, which is why it is reasonable to assume that Netflix could make a sequel.

"Inventing Anna" on Netflix is actually designed as a mini-series

"Inventing Anna" was penned by Shonda Rimes, who has already produced several hit series - including "Grey's Anatomy", "Private Practice" and the Netflix series "Bridgerton".
All these productions got several seasons.
In the case of "Inventing Anna", however, it does not appear that another season is planned at the moment

which suggests that there will be no sequel - at least normally.
Some successful mini-series were originally designed for a single season but were subsequently renewed, such as Big Little Lies.
But for now, Netflix seems to be letting the first chapter of Inventing Anna stand on its own.
If the series is particularly successful, that could of course still influence the decision afterwards.
Leading actress Julia Garner has meanwhile established herself as a sought-after actress for Netflix.
She received back-to-back Emmy awards in 2019 and 2020 for her role as Ruth Langmore in The Ozark.
