The trend that incorporates antique furniture in new homes is spreading, and indicates a super-trend that has only grown over time • Old items can save us money, but also carry with them an emotional charge and their collection can become therapy • View beautiful pictures of the house that combined old and new wonderfully

The detached house in one of the quiet neighborhoods in Gush Dan, illustrates without being aware of one of the most important super-trends of the last decade - the existing ones.

In analyzing the trends we conducted here at the start of the civic year, we tried to illustrate how deep the sustainability trend is and how it pertains to each of our areas of life.

The basic concept that exists is to use a reusable bag instead of a plastic bag is indeed very basic.

Sustainability is a mindset, and when it comes to a wasteful, not to mention piggy, consumer culture, buying second-hand products becomes even more important.

Beyond the fact that a garment or item that passes right by reduces polluting production and transportation processes, they bring with them another important thing - cargo.

The cargo carrying an antique chair made in a European workshop somewhere in the 1930s, inherited from a white father and between its incarnations came into our hands, is full of soul, arouses curiosity and at the same time emphasizes quality craft work that went down to details and created a chair that survives for many decades .

Collecting and purchasing antique items is becoming a form of therapy.

Sometimes you will find a missing food set and choose to buy it, and on a trip to Europe you may suddenly have the opportunity to find the complement to this set.

But what is more important is the situation we operate in - which is more reminiscent of collecting and collecting, and less buying in masses of industrialized products.

The house we chose to review allowed us to give you a tour of its various spaces, and to illustrate how old can be combined with new, and how years of continuous collecting translates into meticulous and reasoned interior design.

You should pay attention to the functional level and accuracy of the connection between old and new.

There is a tendency to think that if you buy antique things, they are mostly for beauty and less for everyday use.

In this project, the combination of aesthetic aspect and design style is evident, as well as functionality and practice at high levels.

The entrance

The front door is a dismantling door.

After many wanderings a character was found who spoke to the landlady.

It was renovated, and its opening handle was renewed.

It is said that entering the house gives a kind of taste of what is waiting inside.

And here it definitely takes place.

A combination of an oak bench and a triple mirror, both English furniture items from the 1930s, create a pleasant and well-designed reception.

It can be noticed that on the left side of the door an entrance coder was installed, which emphasizes the combination between the technological advancement and the old nostalgic tone.

The entrance to the house is equipped with an oak bench, a triple mirror and an old sign.

The kitchen

The entire kitchen was designed based on antique cabinet units, selected in an attempt to create a connecting thread between them.

To place them in space at the same height, invisible adjustments were made, creating a uniform height line.

The units are all covered by a contemporary work surface, above which is set a shelf on which is placed a collection of antique cooking utensils and a pot rack.

The kitchen is made up of antique cupboard units.

The dining area

The house has two dining areas that share the space with the kitchen, and are located from two different directions of the kitchen.

In the rectangular dining area, an oak table opens.

The opening mechanism functions even after nearly 100 years.

The house was designed in a very functional way, so it was important to choose antique items but ones that also function on a daily basis in an accessible and convenient way.

The rectangular dining area is a continuation of the kitchen.

The walls on both sides combine antique decorative items alongside an antique showcase that serves as a storage solution for cutlery.

Also the light fixture that hangs over the dining room table is antique, Art Deco style.

This corner is closed by a spacious window with a shading solution that allows light to penetrate through it and wrap the space in soft and warm light.

The round dining area is smaller, and incorporates a dining table that also knows how to open.

This is a less formal dining area, where you can sit and have a snack, and it is located at the end of the island in the kitchen.

The island itself is also built of antique units and a contemporary work surface and incorporates a sink.

It should be noted that around the dining area there are storage and shelving solutions, all of which are old-fashioned and full of charm.

The dining area is located against a wide key background that leads to the outdoor areas, and as a result enjoys daylight that floods and illuminates it.

The ancient dining area is surrounded by antique dishes and shelves that form a decorative backdrop,

At the end of the dining area is a stained blind shutter that lets in soft light into the space,

Master room

The master room is divided into a sleeping space and a sitting area.

The two parts share the same space, but each serves a different function: the sitting area allows you to sit at the end of the day, read something, take off your clothes and relax before going to bed.

In the morning, the corner allows you to sit down with a cup of coffee and wake up to the world.

The armchair in the sitting area is upholstered in antique fabric.

Part of the fabric is saved to incorporate it into the array of curtains in the background.

The second part is for sleeping.

The bed in the master's room is new and invested, and an antique bed back is attached to it.

The bedspread is also from the 30s of the last century, made of green velvet that has undergone a gentle cleaning.

It can be noticed that the bedside tables on both sides of the bed are different from each other, thus giving extra interest to the resulting look.

The bathroom has two organizing corners - for men and women.

In each corner is an old wooden chest of drawers with a new sink fixed inside.

The flooring and sanitary ware are new, but retain the old English character.

Between the two corners of the sink is an old shelving item in which the towels are folded and the top shelf incorporates a set of jugs and a bowl, which was used in the 1920s for bathing.

The urn was converted into a vase with an artificial flower arrangement inside, which does not require replacement or watering.

The wall is painted in a mint shade that emphasizes the aesthetic line, and in the window is stained glass that was ordered according to the style.

The children's rooms

The three children of the family are adults.

For each, a room was designed that is all about the purity of the combination of new and old.

The girls' rooms have old linen boxes, bedspreads, light fixtures and dressers.

It is very easy to notice the functional level and ability of very old items to have a new life.

The son's bathroom was designed as a more masculine space, combining shades of gray and forest green, alongside an Art Deco mirror, a utility shelf and an antique oak sink, which add to the space copious dishes of atmosphere.

The sink dresser has been renovated and practical marble cladding has been added.

Living space

The living space is divided into two sub-spaces: the main living room space where a large number of armchairs and chairs have been selected, and another complementary selection of antique furniture and textile items.

The sofa in this section is one of the few non-antique items.

You can see that despite the great richness, there are right spaces between one item and another, and the color chosen conveys softness and openness.

The secondary space is a kind of intimate corner that allows for a personal conversation, and in other cases is a reading corner that invites relaxation and relaxation.

The clinic in the basement

The clinic was designed in the basement of the house.

This is a clinic where the clients are children.

The space is studded with musical instruments with antique furniture items.

In the waiting room, the landlady's sofa was incorporated, and on the table next to it was a set of jugs and a bowl inside which was a bouquet of artificial lights.
