(ANSA) - ROME, FEBRUARY 20 - Evidence suggests that Russia is planning "the greatest war in Europe since 1945".
British Prime Minister Boris Johnson said this in an interview with the BBC on the sidelines of the Munich security conference.
In a sense, "the invasion plan has already begun," added the premier according to which the Russian troops were not only planning to enter Ukraine from the east, via the Donbass, but from Belarus and the surrounding area to Kiev.
"People need to understand the huge cost in human lives it could entail," he continued.
"I'm afraid the plan we are seeing is for something that could truly be the biggest war in Europe since 1945 in terms of vast proportions alone," Johnson said.
