The parents and relatives of Claudio Mandia, the 17-year-old from Battipaglia who died one day before his 18th birthday in college in New York, are closed in secrecy, but the accusations of "mistreatment" directed at the management of the "EF Academy" are however filtered out.
The managers of the school, in Tarrytown, about fifty kilometers from New York City, are directly called into question, although it is not clear what mistreatment would have been and for what reasons.
"Claudio - says the mayor of Battipaglia, Cecilia Francese, who knows his family - had moved to the USA two years ago, when he was 16, to complete high school. Then he should have continued his studies".
The company of his father, Mauro, exports frozen products to the USA and other countries and Claudio was destined to study as a manager and learn languages to extend the business.

The rumor, circulating at first, of an aneurysm of which the 17-year-old would have been a victim has not found confirmation.

The American police listened to Claudio's companions who would have attended the party for his birthday.
The boy, according to the first version circulated, would have left before the party ended to return to his room, where he was later found dead.
But a second version of the facts speaks instead of a death as a result of an "extreme game" and denies the holding of a party inside the College, where about 450 students reside.
The American autopsy should provide the investigators with important elements to establish the real causes of death.
