Who has to place the goods separator on the belt at the supermarket checkout?

Does the goods divider in the supermarket belong behind or in front of your own shopping?
MyMarktforschung surveyed 1,058 Germans.
When shopping, do you have a rule for yourself as to where to place the product separator at the checkout?
Or do you act depending on the situation?

How useful are product dividers at the checkout in the supermarket?
There are usually several dividers next to the checkout tape in every supermarket, usually with the logo of the food company in question.
This useful invention is intended to make life easier for customers and employees at the checkout.
Because the goods separator separates different purchases that are all on the same belt.
So that you know which purchase or which products belong to whom.

Of course, there are
no official regulations
as to who is responsible for using the goods separator to separate your own purchase from the customer's purchase in front of or behind you.
The institute myMarktforschung asked 1,058 Germans in a survey.

More than half of those surveyed
think that you should put the divider
behind your own purchases
.
Only one in eight is of the opinion that you have to put the goods separator in front of your own purchase.
For around 20 percent of those surveyed, it doesn't matter whether you put the goods divider in front of or behind your own purchases.
