(ANSA) - STALOWA WOLA, 07 MAR - A bridge to take orphaned children away from Ukraine.
It was activated by dozens of Polish associations that for days have been organizing trains and buses to try to get the almost 100,000 children without parents out, either because they died or because they abandoned them.
Several thousand have already arrived in Poland and the government, in collaboration with Caritas, has set up a hub in the south of the country where the children are registered and then sorted throughout Poland.
"They are tired, frightened and have experienced a double trauma, that of abandonment and that of war" say the volunteers who look after them.
