(ANSA) - ROME, MARCH 07 - In the course of 2021 the tax receipts ascertained on the basis of the criterion of legal competence amounted to 496,094 million euros, with an increase of 48,497 million euros compared to 2020 (+ 10.8%) .
The change partly reflects the improvement in the economic framework, but in part there are still different factors of unevenness in the monthly distribution of revenues due to the "lockdown" introduced in 2020 and the consequent economic and payment suspension measures adopted to deal with the health emergency.
The Mef communicates it.
Among the revenues we point out the VAT: indirect taxes amounted to 226,287 million euros in 2021, with an increase of 31,648 million euros (equal to + 16.3%).
The increase in VAT contributed to the positive dynamic (+23,928 million euros, + 19.3%) and, in particular, the component of levies on internal exchanges (+18.582 million euros, + 16.3%) and on imports (+ 5,346 million euros, + 53.2%).
