(ANSA) - BRUSSELS, MARCH 07 - The Commission "is ready to support the Member States in planning" measures to regulate gas market prices.
This can be read in the roughness of the communication on energy that will be presented tomorrow.
Under certain conditions, "Member States can intervene with the exceptional and time-limited implementation of regulated prices", reads the document, which stresses that the legal framework of the electricity market "allows public intervention in the fixing of prices" and that the measure should be "targeted".
