(ANSA) - BRUSSELS, MARCH 09 - Another 160 names have been added to the EU black list which provides for sanctions against those who have taken responsibility for or contributed to the attack against Ukraine.

This was announced by the EU Commission.

The people on the EU black list are therefore 14 prominent oligarchs and entrepreneurs involved in key economic sectors, as well as their families.

Then there are 146 members of the Council of the Russian Federation, who have ratified the Russian government decisions on treaties with the 'people's republics' of Donetsk and Lugansk.

Overall, the UES restrictive measures currently apply to a total of 862 individuals and 53 entities.

The restrictions on access to the Swift international payment system affect Belarusian banks Belagroprombank, Bank Dabrabyt and the Development Bank.

Transactions with the Central Bank of Belarus on the management of reserves or assets, and the provision of public finance for trade and investment in the country will then be prohibited.

Deposits in the EU exceeding 100 thousand euros will be prohibited for citizens in Belarus.

For Russia, the update on EU sanctions introduces new export restrictions in shipping and radio communication technology.

The Russian Maritime Register of Shipping is added to the list of state-owned enterprises subject to financing restrictions (ANSA).
