"They are still small and I hope for them to forget everything".
It is the wish of Masha, a young Ukrainian mother who escaped from Nikolaev who found refuge in a Futsal arena 20 kilometers from Chisinau, the capital of Moldova.
She arrived from her country yesterday because, as she explains, "I did not want to abandon my father but the situation became more dangerous day after day and he himself told me to leave".
With Masha, on the parquet floor in the new building surrounded by posters of the home favorites of the popular sport, dozens of refugees have found place and refreshment in recent days, many of whom then left for other destinations.
"My sister who lives in Germany - she says - calls me every day and would like me to join her but I don't want to leave my country. I'll stay here until the war is over and I'll go home with the girls".
In the meantime, under her maternal gaze they are playing chess on one of the many cots.
They smile and look peaceful.
Perhaps, Masha surely hopes, they are already forgetting.
