DECRYPTION - The owner of the castle from 1877 to 1900, Wilhelm Tilman Grommé, considered that artists, better than anyone, were able to appreciate the castle, a real jewel in his collection.


Since its creation, the Château de Maisons has never ceased to be considered one of the finest examples of the classic French château.

Located in the bends of the Seine, not far from Saint-Germain-en-Laye, the residence built by François Mansart (1598-1666) in the first half of the 17th century for René de Longueil, mortar president in the Parliament of Paris, is one of the architect's masterpieces.
