Former US President Barack Obama has contracted the coronavirus.
He announced this on Twitter.
He's had a sore throat for "a few days," but otherwise feels fine.
A corona test was positive for him.
"Michelle and I are grateful that we were vaccinated and had the booster shots and her test came back negative," Obama wrote, referring to his wife.
"It's a reminder to get vaccinated if you haven't already - even if the number of cases is falling," said the US Democrat.
Over the past week, the US has averaged about 35,000 infections - a significant drop from 800,000 infections in mid-January.
Obama had repeatedly criticized Donald Trump's corona policy during his tenure.
He described his successor's crisis management as "an absolutely chaotic catastrophe".
Obama celebrated his own 60th birthday on a smaller scale due to the spread of the Delta variant.
