(ANSA) - CAIRO, MARCH 18 - The Libyan premier designated by the Parliament, Fathi Bashagha, said that elections cannot be held when there are "divisions and conflicts" as currently in Libya.

This was reported today on Twitter by the LibyaObserver site, citing a written statement by Bashagha released on Facebook from an account of his supporters.


    "We underline that these elections cannot take place in the light of divisions and conflicts", declared the premier 'parallel' to the one installed in Tripoli, Abdel Hamid Dbeibah, who would like to have an electoral round in June.


    "It should be emphasized that any initiative to hold legislative elections only in some Libyan regions without carrying them out in others can lead to creating divisions and sowing discord among ilibics", continued Bashagha in the statement made about a session of the UN Security Council just held on Libya. .
