(ANSA) - ROME, MARCH 25 - Two legendary and secret performances expected by fans for over 40 years.

The Rolling Stones announce for May 13 the arrival of the album "Live At The El Mocambo", the first official release of the group's two famous concerts in the small club (only 300 seats) in Toronto in March 1977. For the occasion, a competition was held. radio station whose prize was tickets to attend the Canadian AprilWine shows, which would have had an unknown band, the Cockroaches, as a support act.

And the latter turned out to be the RollingStones ... On those nights, of course, it was April Winel the opening band, and that was how the Stones went back over the years to the days of their first incredible club nights.


   All this amid the intense press attention of the time towards Keith Richards and his problems with drug addiction.

Against all odds, the band unleashed two unforgettable evenings that are still talked about today in Toronto and in the legendary history of the RollingStones.

The album will be available on double CD, 4LP (Black Vinyl), 4LP (Neon Vinyl) and digital.

It will contain the complete set of the March 5th '77 show, plus three bonus tracks from the March 4th '77 concert, all with a new mix by Bob Clearmountain.

Only four tracks (the El Mocambo Side) taken from those live performances were included in Love YouLive, the album released in September 1977 which contained more than one track recorded on the band's 1975 and '76 tours; the entire set to

El Mocambo has never been released before now.

The release of the album is anticipated by two tracks: "It's Only Rock 'N' Roll" and "Rip ThisJoint", available on all digital platforms.

The setlist included a wide variety of tracks, from Muddy Waters '"Mannish Boy" and Bo Diddley's "Crackin' Up" to their great classics like "Let's Spend The Night Together" and "TumblingDice", then back to the blues with "Worried Life Blues." "by BigMaceo and" Little Red Rooster "by Willie Dixon.
