Ukraine: the map of solidarity

The commitment of the Red Cross, Caritas, NGOs and associations (ANSA)  Evacuations, basic necessities and sanitary materials, meals and hospitalizations, transfers, triage and medical training, psychological support courses for families and children. It is a varied and enormous offer that the world of volunteering and NGOs is providing to the Ukrainian people, directly at home and even more at the borders with hundreds of employees and volunteers.  Evacuations, basic necessities and sanitary materials, meals and hospitalizations, transfers, triage and medical training, psychological support courses for families and children.

It is a varied and enormous offer that the world of volunteering and NGOs is providing to the Ukrainian people, directly at home and even more at the borders with hundreds of employees and volunteers.

ITALIAN RED CROSS:

is engaged in humanitarian missions from Italy to send aid to the Ukrainian Red Cross and has carried out an evacuation mission of over 80 fragile civilians from Lviv: a total of 138 operators and 56 vehicles have been employed so far.

The more than 10 thousand volunteers of the Ukrainian Red Cross are involved in the field, which has 200 local committees and is estimated to have helped more than 300 thousand people to date.

The various National Red Cross Societies are also operational in the countries bordering Ukraine.

CARITAS ITALIANA

: On 21 and 22 March it organized two humanitarian flights from Warsaw through which about 400 refugees received in 20 dioceses arrived in Italy.

Overall, it evacuated over 9,000 people.

It has an extensive network of first reception and refuge centers in the various Ukrainian cities, aimed both at people in transit but also at the many people who do not want to leave the country.

Basic necessities and psycho-social support are provided.

The escort and transport service for people has been activated, so that they can reach safe locations.

CARITAS UKRAINE

: has assisted more than 100,000 people since the beginning of the conflict.

About 1,500 hot meals are distributed every day.

It has organized accommodation that takes in around 1,500 internally displaced persons every day.

In Kiev, Zhytomyr and Ternopil in particular have created bomb-resistant shelters.

CARITAS SPES

: operates through its 34 Centers in collaboration with the Roman Catholic parishes, and since the beginning of the conflict has provided assistance to over 145,000 people.

CARITAS POLAND

: provides about 2600 reception places.

It guaranteed safe accommodation for 800 minors including orphans and children with various disabilities.

It has also set up several "Tents of Hope", refreshment and reception centers

CARITAS MOLDAVIA

: set up a Center to provide shelter and food to refugees with about 130 places and launched a psychological support program in the Refugee Centers with the involvement of 111 volunteer psychologists

UNHCR

: has 117 staff members in Ukraine.

In neighboring countries, there are 157 people on the ground.

It has deployed coordination and protection experts in Hungary, Moldova, Poland and Romania, including emergency coordinators for protection against sexual exploitation and abuse and is present on all borders: Poland, Hungary, Moldova, Slovakia and Romania.

UNICEF

: has numerous field workers to distribute essential aid and 47 mobile teams to offer psychosocial protection and services to children.

Beyond the borders is setting up the "Blue Dots", spaces suitable for children.

In Kharkiv he set up support spaces in 29 subway stations, equipped with educational materials.

In neighboring countries he has set up the Blue Dots, equipped with child-friendly spaces.

DOCTORS WITHOUT BORDERS

: sent surgical, trauma kits, chronic disease and mass influx medications to support Ukrainian hospitals, provided training to health facility staff on handling mass influx of patients and sent their teams to borders of neighboring countries.

MSF brought 120m3 of emergency medical supplies to the country, a third to Kiev by train.

SAVE THE CHILDREN

: In Romania it is in 9 border crossing points and in 5 reception centers for asylum seekers and 2 refugee camps and has provided support with its interventions to about 15,000 people, including 8,000 children.

It has activated Child-Friendly Spaces and spaces dedicated to mothers and babies.

In Lithuania he works in all 5 Refugee Registration Centers where he has set up Child Friendly Spaces that have welcomed more than 2,500 children.

AB.BI - CHILDREN'S FRIENDS ASSOCIATION

: operates in Ukraine through the Ukrainian charitable foundation "Drusie Ditiei Ukraina" (Friends of Children Ukraine), in favor of minors welcomed in the country's institutions.

In cooperation with the "Ukrainian Network for Children's Rights" it provides on-site and evacuation assistance to neighboring countries.

TERRE DES HOMES:

with the Polish partner, Polish Medical Mission distributes medical materials, including in pediatric hospitals.

In Poland, in Kobyłka, she started a first reception and psychosocial support service for mothers and children.

The Terre des Hommes International Federation is present in Hungary, Romania and Moldova for assistance to minors

ACTIONAID

: In Poland it is on the border points of Dorohusk, Hrebenne and Zosin, works to support 3,500 families, especially single women with children, in addition to the prevention of violence and abuse they work in psychosocial and legal support.

In Romania, in the towns of Tulcea, Isaccea, Sirat, with a program to combat trafficking and gender-based violence, it deals with prevention at border entry points.

INTERSOS

: is in Ukraine, Poland and Moldova to guarantee medical care, protection and psychosocial support, especially for women and children.

An emergency team is in Lviv to support a cancer hospital and some shelters.

It is operational in Vinnytsia, 100 km from Zhytomyr, with protection and health assistance activities.

Since 3 March he has been in Poland on the border with Ukraine at the medical point in the center of Korczowa, a shopping center transformed into a reception facility with about 2,000 places.
