Aline Cohen is no longer ashamed of the big scar that has adorned her head since that well-known bicycle accident she had at the age of eight.
This past weekend, while getting ready for the wedding, she mustered the courage to fight the will and habit of blurring the permanent mark on her head, and avoided covering it up with makeup.
She documented the founding moment in a series of photos she uploaded over the weekend to her private Instagram, in which she also shared the difficulty that accompanies her in choosing to deal with the current situation.
"I am excited that today I did not hide my scar," Cohen wrote with a sense of satisfaction.
"I gathered the hair, pulled it back, and automatically already, with the brush and eyeshadow, I almost started to cover the scar, and then I went back inside."
"I accept myself as I am, even with her, at least I try," she declared.
"This war is perpetual, and will always be in me," she added, referring to the internal controversies that arise in her on the subject.
"But I promised myself to try to embrace this scar as much as I could," she shared in her attempt to come to terms with the timeless visual sign.
"Is it easy? No," she noted as she asked to present the complex situation to her.
"But again, I'm trying and it's another small victory of mine," she finally ruled.
