(ANSA) - BRAZIL, MARCH 28 - First illustrious victim of oil price increases in Brazil: the Brazilian president, Jair Bolsonaro, has in fact fired the CEO of the state oil group Petrobras, Joaquim Silva and Luna.
The decision was made after strong protests against the company over sharp increases in fuel prices.
The dismissal, announced by the media, was confirmed by the Ministry of Energy, which proposed to the economist AdrianoPires, specialized in gas and oil, to replace Silva eLuna at the helm of Petrobras.
