In France, film production is no longer experiencing the crisis.
In 2021, the National Cinema Center (CNC) approved 340 films.
That is to say a hundred more than in 2020 and forty more than in 2019. Admittedly, this surge is to be put into perspective, according to the CNC.
It is mainly explained
“by a significant catch-up of unshot projects”
in 2020, the coronavirus epidemic having forced the cameras to be put down for three months.

While the number of films exploded, investments in production also reached a record level, at 1.1 billion euros in total.
It is the

This represents a 24% increase compared to 2019, before the health crisis.
