Two cargo ships collided on the Kiel Canal near Kiel.
The ships collided shortly after 10 a.m. west of the Levensau high bridge, said a spokesman for the Waterways and Shipping Office for the Kiel Canal (WSA).
Three seamen on the "Paivi" were injured.
The ship therefore sails under the Cypriot flag.

The injured were treated by emergency services.
Both the 82-meter-long "Paivi" and the 106-meter-long freighter "Bjoerkoe", also flying the Cyprus flag, were damaged in the bow area as a result of the collision.
Both ships were brought to Kiel by tugs in the afternoon.
