(ANSA) - ROME, MARCH 29 - Ukraine proposes separate negotiations to Russia on the status of Crimea and the port of Sebastopol which must be concluded within 15 years.
This was stated by Ukrainian chief negotiator Mikhailo Podolyak, quoted by the UNIAN agency.
As for the Donbass, Kiev proposes that its status be discussed in a direct meeting between presidents Vladimir Putin and Volodymyr Zelensky.
The port of Sebastopol, the headquarters of the Russian Black Sea fleet, was under the control of Moscow even before the annexation of Crimea, thanks to a lease with Kiev.
