TV presenter Oliver Pocher spoke in detail for the first time after being hit in the head on the sidelines of a boxing match in Dortmund.

He's doing well "according to the circumstances," said the 44-year-old in an Instagram video on Tuesday.

However, he had been to the doctor in the past few days – his ear was “pretty bad”.

Pocher: "And if I'm unlucky, I have irreparable damage that doesn't go back."

He is currently undergoing treatment.

"I just can't hear certain frequency ranges at the moment."

Investigations into assault

Pocher was attacked in Dortmund on Saturday.

He had attended a boxing match by Felix Sturm.

Videos showed a man approaching the comedian in the front row and hitting him in the head.

The man is now being investigated for assault.

The police said it was obviously a deliberate and planned attack that was deliberately filmed.

According to media reports, the attacker was a musician from the rap scene.

»Cowardly«, »sneaky« and »malicious«

In his statement, Pocher called the attack "cowardly", "sneaky" and "malicious".

Anyone could verbally hit him with anything, he explained.

"But not like that."

In view of the circumstances, the situation was actually quite mild.

Suddenly there was a bang.

He was totally surprised and perplexed - the whole thing happened during a lap break.

He now wants the case to be clarified before a court – with the public prosecutor and judge, said Pocher.

It was an assault.

He hopes for a “maximum penalty”.

He was also in favor of shutting down all of the man's social media accounts.

"We're not talking about some funny slap," the comedian said.

According to the "Bild" newspaper, Pocher reported the crime to his lawyer.

The public prosecutor's office and the police have not yet confirmed receipt of a complaint.
