(ANSA) - ROME, APRIL 02 - The expensive bill drives the list of coffee consumed at the bar crazy.

This was reported by Codacons, which carried out a study on the trend of the average prices of the classic cup of espresso in the various Italian cities, to verify how the expensive bill has influenced the prices paid to the public.


    According to the latest official data from Mise, the record price of espresso is reached in Bolzano, where a coffee consumed at the bar costs an average of 1.23 euros - analyzes Codacons - In second place in the standings, with an average of 1, 20 euros, sipiazzano Rovigo and Ravenna.

Vicenza, Trento and Ferrara follow at 1.19 euros.


   As many as 25 cities in our country have an average coffee price of over 1.10 euros.


    And so, while Istat recorded annual inflation for the "restaurants and bars" sector of + 3.8% in March, compared to the pre-rise in bills (September 2021) and February 2022, it turns out that the increase highest of the public price lists was recorded in Pescara, where the average price of the espresso at the bar went from 1 euro to 1.12 euro, with an increase of + 12%.

Alexandria (+ 11.3%, from 1.06 to 1.18 euros) and Ravenna (+ 9%, from 1.10 to 1.20 euros) follow.

The only city to register a decrease is Trento (from 1.22 to 1.19 euros, -2.5%).
