It's a bubble of happiness, a breath of life, sweetness and madness, self-mockery, surprises, humor.

Malicious, willing to pose to play himself immediately, Julien Doré returns to the stage after four years of absence with a monumental show bringing together families over several generations, an audience on a little cloud by plunging head first into the universe. from the crooner to the mane.

With nearly 350,000 albums sold since the publication in September 2020 of "Aimée", his fifth album, the singer offers himself a tour of around fifty Zeniths and Arenas, a monumental "Aimée Tour" which stops for three evenings on April 8, 9 and 10 at the Accor Arena in Bercy and will continue until December, with a new Bercy on December 9, and a summer break devoted to festivals.

We discovered it at the Zénith de Nantes, on its 13th date, complete like many.

With a warm and enveloping voice, he appears in the center of a classical orchestra to start "the Fever" advancing towards the audience with a sure and feline gait, his silhouette cut out in front of a powerful halo of light... He approaches slowly, now measures several meters on the big screen when everything turns off.

And the public resumes its “Kiss Me For Ever”…

Plunged into darkness, the room is traversed by deep basses which vibrate even in the bodies.

As if escaping from the screen, Julien Doré resumes: “The world has changed/It has moved/A few vertebrae…”.

Slipped into a pink and fitted suit, ankle boots with red soles on his feet and loose hair, he undulates to the rhythm of his swaying title in an acidulous atmosphere.

It will also be colourful, luminous, sparkling, served by a direct staging.

He takes his microphone stand, runs and jumps, plays rock star and has fun.

Followed by a camera, holding out his microphone, he encourages the public to resume his "Kiss Me For Ever" before embarking on a choreography at six thousand.

Arms in the air oscillating from left to right, the room follows him, a human wave in communion with his adored Julien.

Against the backdrop of a tropical beach, he “Coco Câline” his audience, indicating the temperature on a fake weather map: 47°C!

A panda then appears, which in turn makes the crowd dance.

Later, it will be a dinosaur, a bestiary straight out of its clips.

By serving his "Chou Wasabi" in a velvety voice, he raises the heat even more, dropping the jacket to put on, all muscles bulging, a jacket of the same pink...

On a magic carpet, mounted on jacks…

A standing ovation greets Simone and Jean-Marc, her dogs, now in the picture.

Stars of the networks and of the singer's universe, integrated into predominantly pink and blue visuals, the Swiss shepherds are the choristers of choice for an anthology "Waf".

The concert swings into another dimension.

We were having fun, now we are delirious as he takes off on a magic carpet, mounted on cylinders and as if resting on a cushion of smoke.

Here he is, a cloud surfer alongside his dogs spinning on a cumulus cloud in the sky.

"Oh-la-la, come on, let's lean on the stars/We've gone around Verlaine and Kafka", he rises again, heading into space, crossing stars and satellites, a flying dog and a cat with heart-shaped eyes, a unicorn or a dinosaur…

It's cosmic and comical, well struck Doré, we love it!

He jumps out of his gear out of breath.

"I'm too old for this kind of bullshit...", he breathes, grabbing his ukulele for a rehearsal of the chorus - "Serve me some love in a glass of pastaga/Oh-la-la, Waf, waf” – causing the room to bark heartily.

A more intimate page opens, a suspended moment.

A hedge of clouds forms in the background as he begins "Me Lolita".

Then come Gilbert Montagné's "Sunlight" and of course Christophe's "Aline", an essential part of his concerts, which the hall resumes.

We shiver.

After “Kiki”, a letter to the younger generations oscillating between dejection and hope, he plunges with “White Raven” into darkness, offering as such paintings of an abyssal intensity with suicidal accents.

On the screen, two shapes highlighted in red make him look like wounded wings, a fallen angel.

But life takes over on a "Paris Seychelles" which completes the party, the Zénith is a singing and dancing club.

A hell of a trip, for sure.
