A video published last summer showed Bushido verbally harassing a girl around 17 years ago. Because the rapper released a longer version, he now had to pay the woman a large sum of money.

It was a chilling video that rapper Cashmo posted to Instagram last June.

In it you can see: A 26-year-old Bushido who, together with his fellow campaigners, verbally harassed a girl who was underage at the time.

Anis Ferchichi, as Bushido's real name is, persistently tells the woman that she should think about what she wants.

And he implicitly threatened her with possible consequences: »Where do you want to go now?

Out in the woods?” Other participants in the group try to persuade the obviously intimidated woman to have sex: “Do you want to take your pants off?”.

When the video was released, Bushido was contrite.

"I hope that your daughters, my daughters, don't run into people like me, as I was at that time," he said in an apology video - but then put it on the Twitch streaming platform with a longer version of the recording, including justifying live commentary and a rather makeshift pixelation.

cease and desist and damages

This publication now had a judicial aftermath.

Before the district court in Mannheim, the rapper was obliged to pay the 33-year-old a sum of 62,500 euros.

First, the "Legal Tribune Online" reported on the comparison.

Accordingly, Bushido's wife had asked to take the Twitch video offline and sign a cease-and-desist letter.

She also demanded compensation of 100,000 euros for the violation of her personal rights - because she was recognizable by her voice, among other things.

At the end of the process, Bushido and the plaintiff agreed on the sum of 62,500 euros.

Court sees “sexually abusive situation”

The court recognized the claims in principle, also because the then minor was filmed in a "degrading and sexually abusive situation".

Through the publication by Bushido, the night in the hotel room was mentally shown to her again.

According to the "Legal Tribune Online", Bushido defended himself by saying that the publication was not about humiliating the woman, but about presenting his version of what happened.

A futile undertaking, as the court found: The commented Twitch video also obviously shows sexual harassment.
