Diagnosing the phenomenon of school violence according to the foundations of scientific research and the exchange of experiences was the main focus of discussion during the meeting of the Minister of Education, Dr. Darem Tabbaa, today with the Deputy Director of UNICEF for Programs Ghada Kajah Ji and the specialist on violence against children Patricia Rudy.

Minister Tabbaa indicated that the meeting was a follow-up to a previous workshop between the ministry and UNICEF on reducing school violence, stressing the importance of activating the workshop's recommendations and benefiting from the organization's expertise in this field to develop an executive program to curb the phenomenon.

Specialist Rudy presented a vision about the reality of a number of schools she visited and the steps and methods that can be applied to determine the causes of the phenomenon of violence.

The two sides agreed to visit a number of schools and meet with the teaching and administrative staff, students and their families to monitor the phenomenon of school violence in the various governorates.

The meeting was attended by the Director of Planning and International Cooperation in the Ministry, Ghassan Shoghari, and officials of the Behavioral and Community Change Department of the organization, Ilnur Aliyev and Mays Al-Labadi.
