(ANSA) - ROME, APRIL 04 - According to the ranking of Art NewsPaper and Giornale dell'Arte, in 2021 "the Uffizi Galleries are in fifth place in terms of number of visitors among all the museums in the world, before the National Art in Washington and the Hermitages of St. Petersburg ".
The director of the Uffizi Galleries Eike Schmidt underlines this to ANSA.
"For us an unprecedented positive event even more if we consider that in Italy the museums have been substantially closed for 4 months from November to April 2021".
These are the top five: Louvre, Russo Museum of St. Petersburg, Multimedia Art Moscow, Met New York, Uffizi.
