(ANSA) - ROME, APRIL 04 - A Ukrainian girl with a name and a telephone written by her mother on her back, to be sure that - if she did not survive the war - someone knows the identity of the little girl and to whom to entrust her: the photo was tweeted by Kyiv Independent journalist AnastasiiaLapatina, with the comment: "Ukrainian mothers are writing family contacts on the bodies of their children in case they are killed and their child survives. And Europe is still discussing gas."
Lapatina cites as a source the Instagram account of SashaMakoviy, the child's mother, who in a 3-day post tells how she decided to write that name on her daughter Vera "on the first day of the war", "in case something happened to us and then someone there
Makoviy also publishes a second photo, of a slip of paper with the same information he wrote on his daughter's back: "I still can't bring myself to throw this crumpled sheet of the second photo out of my overalls pocket. Although where we are now is safe."
