(ANSA) - WASHINGTON, APRIL 06 - The Republican-controlled Oklahoma parliament has approved a draft law that bans abortion at any time during pregnancy, except to save the life of a pregnant mother in a medical emergency.
Offenders can be punished with a fine of up to 100,000 dollars or up to 10 years in prison or with both measures.
If Republican Governor Kevin Stitt signs the ruling, which he has already said in favor, the law will go into effect on August 26.
