(ANSA) - WASHINGTON, APRIL 05 - For the first time in two years Donald Trump admitted that he did not win the 2020 elections, albeit in a sort of slip.
During a video interview with a group of historians led by Julian Zelizer, Princeton professor and editor of the forthcoming book 'The Presidency of Donald Trump: A First HistoricalAssessment', the former president let it slip that not winning the elections made the then South Korean leader MoonJae-in the happiest man in the world because if he were elected he would have made South Korea pay more for US military assistance.
"Moon should have paid 5 billion a year. But since I didn't win the elections he would have been happy",
The interview with the historians was published in TheAtlantic.
Zelizer explained that it was the former president who "contacted the group of academics to write an accurate book".
Trump on his part said that historians are "an incredible group that listened to him without attacking him".
