The French civil aviation authority is investigating a serious incident when a Boeing 777 landed in Paris, in which the pilots are said to have lost control of the plane on Wednesday.
The authorities in Paris announced that a safety investigation had been initiated because of the instability of the controls, course fluctuations and problems with instrument operation on the final approach.
The machine's flight recorder and the voice recording of the crew were evaluated.
The Air France plane, coming from New York, had canceled the landing at Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport the day before, had gone through and then landed safely after a second approach.
As the newspaper "Le Parisien" reports, the aircraft was at an altitude of around 370 meters when the pilots decided to go around.
The newspaper published an audio recording of the pilots' communications, one of whom shouted "stop, stop" to the other after an alarm signal.
Shortly thereafter, he reported to the tower "a problem with the flight controls, the plane did pretty much everything."
According to the newspaper, Air France described the reaction of the pilots as a standardized procedure for which crews from all airlines would be trained.
No people were injured in the incident.
