According to a study, employees who have no emotional connection to their employer feel particularly burned out.

According to a recent survey by the Gallup Engagement Index 2021,

employees in Germany are

now more willing to change jobs*

than in previous years.

23 percent of employees are thinking about changing their employer within a year, as the consulting firm Gallup announced in early April.

42 percent consider the jump within three years to be conceivable.

"Never before have so many people been looking for a job or open to change as now," said Pa Sinyan, head of Gallup Europe.

The

corona pandemic

has far-reaching consequences.

Study: More employees actively looking for a job - consequences of the corona pandemic

According to the new

Gallup study 2021

, 60 percent of German employees still want to be employed by their current employer in a year.

14 percent are already

actively looking for alternatives

.

That is twice as many as last year and thus for the first time more than the 10 percent of US employees.

The effects of the pandemic were

particularly evident when it came to

stress , Gallup explained.

38 percent of those surveyed stated that they were burned out because of their job.

In the pre-Corona year 2019, the value was still 26 percent.

"The parameters of the world of work have fundamentally shifted," said study author Marco Nink.

Companies would have to adapt the framework conditions more to the needs of their employees and continue to enable

more flexible regulations such as working from

home

.

Emotional attachment to the employer?

According to the study, employees who have no emotional connection to their employer

feel particularly burned out

.

"In the case of emotional bonding, it's not so much the general conditions that play a decisive role, but above all good managers," said Nink.

If you really want to quit your job, you have to follow a few important rules.
