(ANSA) - ROME, APRIL 09 - The Cross - remote center for medical rescue operations - activated by the Civil Protection Department for the coordination of urgent medical assistance for Ukrainian citizens, is continuing to guarantee the transfer of patients present in neighboring countries to Ukraine.
Since the beginning of the emergency, 100 patients have been transported via MedEvac (medical evacuation), thanks to 14 air missions carried out by the Guardia di Finanza and private detectors.
In particular, from March 28 to April 8, a total of 42 patients assisted by the health services of the regions of Liguria, Piedmont, Lombardy, Veneto, Tuscany, Lazio, Marche, Abruzzo and Emilia-Romagna were transferred.
