Damascus University and the Technical Industries Corporation “Syrian Information Technology Company” signed today a cooperation agreement to automate the work of the university and to cooperate in the fields of training, qualification, postgraduate studies, technical consultancy, development, operation and investment of technical and software systems.
Under the agreement signed by the President of Damascus University, Dr. Muhammad Osama Al-Jabban, and the Director General of the Technical Industries Corporation, Dr. Jamal Sobh Saeed, the two sides will cooperate in all projects, works, services and products that aim to improve the operating conditions in the Damascus University data center and describe everything necessary to ensure its operation around the clock and ensure security The software systems and services provided, as well as the follow-up and implementation of maintenance work in this center and ensuring the availability of a backup center for its operation.
According to the agreement, Damascus University is obligated to provide all the facilities and powers necessary to implement the works that are agreed upon between the two parties and to define a project to automate the work of the University of Damascus and allocate an annual budget for it in accordance with the university’s development and modernization plans, as well as assigning the management of this project to follow up the implementation, operation, maintenance, documentation and receipt of its works with the party or contracting parties.
While the Technical Industries Corporation and the Syrian Information Technology Company must provide all requirements for implementation, development, operation and maintenance work for all the work required by the University of Damascus and the implementation of its data center operating services, as well as a study to evaluate and develop the current software systems and those required to be accomplished in the future by the university, as well as the obligation to provide All information related to the work performed periodically.
